In September 2014, hotel director Christos Lazaridis and adult-education researcher Anna-Maria Toth opened a 240 m² floor on Vasilissis Olgas with two classrooms, one borrowed projector, and a single course: Hospitality Frontline. The first cohort was eleven people. Eight of them found work in Halkidiki resorts before the season started. The model — short, certified, employer-anchored — worked, and word travelled.
